Today we received news of my mum’s twin sister passing away. Fear & despair filled my mum’s heart looking at her twin lying dead.

After hearing the news, I was waiting for my mum to return home to check her out. I went in to her room simply taking time to think about those moment I had with her before becoming independent. The reality of her life on earth isn’t long hits me real hard.

When she came home this evening, first thing i did was to stop doing whatever I was doing and went into her room to do something I’ve never done before in my life as a grown up adult; gave her a little shoulder hug to tell her ‘it is ok, don’t have to worry’. She grieved over “Ah Bo” (mean “Aunty” in Hananiese) and started crying.

I took the courage to shared Christ with her and prayed for her in chinese to ask Jesus to remove every fear, despair and nightmare. As I was praying, she kept saying “thank You Jesus” in chinese. I told her to believe in Jesus and trust Him to take care of her tomorrow, and she said “Yes, I believe in Jesus” verbally. I wish I could pray with her the salvation prayer but I have no clue how to do it. (Gonna learn how to do it soon!)

I told her to play some chinese christian songs on her cd player every night to sleep with it. For the first time in my life, I ask my mum out for a date tomorrow to have lunch with her before she go for her work. I put a smile on her face…
